I sewed on a White treadle until I graduated from college. Made most all of my clothes since freshman in high school, including prom dresses. Then electric machine for wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, children's clothes, home decor, etc.

Singer Treadlem, my mothers sewing machine. She would disengage the belt and let us pump the treadle and one drawer was full of buttons to play with.
