Inanna ( Sumerian: Inanna; Akkadian: Ištar)  was the Sumerian goddess of love, fertility, and warfare, and goddess of the E-Anna temple at the city of Uruk, her main centre. As early as the Uruk period, she was associated with the city of Uruk where stood her greatest shrine, the House of Heaven.

Maybe it's because Venus heralds the sun and is in Scorpio in my chart but I identify with the Sumerian goddess Inanna far more than with Botticelli's pretty Venus.
