Tammy Doll - such a sweet face. It was named after Tammy (Debbie Reynolds). I gave mine to my friend who had a daughter named Tammy.

Tammy was a 12" fashion doll created by the Ideal Toy Company that debuted at the 1962 International Toy Fair. Advertised as "The Doll You Love to Dress", Tammy was portrayed as a young American teenager, more "girl next door" than the cosmopolitan image of Mattel's Barbie, or American Character's Tressy.on the town. Had one of these but I still preferred playing with the Barbie doll!

Tressy — Introduced by the UK's Palitoy in the early 1960s, Tressy was the doll with "hair that grows".

vinyl Tressy doll with stand and original box, rare black variation, United States, by American Character.

This was the first Tressy doll made by American character - 1964. I had one of these! You had to use her "T" key from her belt to wind back her long strands of hair that came out the top of her head.

I had a brunette Tressy and her hair rocked. If only my hair would grow long by pulling on it!

VINTAGE BOXED PALITOY PIPPA DOLL I so wanted one of these plus all her friends but was never allowed. Gutted!

Before I cut her hair (note to self: it doesn't grow back) and stabbed her in the side of the head with a pencil (still don't know why!
