USS Idaho (BB-42) under way sometime in WW2. Commissioned in March 1919, the Idaho entered WW2 shortly after Pearl. She took part in  major naval and amphibious operations in the Pacific, including the Battle of Okinawa. She escorted aircraft carrier task forces and provided long range fire support.She was decommissioned on 3 July 1946 and was placed in reserve until sold for scrap on 24 Nov 1947 to Lipsett, Inc, of New York City.
