"So proud of my boys and all the University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs 4 Life fighting the good fight in bitter cold Washington, D.C. today. They bear witness to the dignity of each and every human person. All our rights begin with life. All life is sacred - from conception to natural death." - Karen (Austin '14, Alex '16, Aidan '17)

We got a surprise after my son was born that he had Down syndrome. We agonized over him being in the NICU for three weeks, after tests he was very healthy and congenial defects were all ruled out. He was truly spared. My feelings at first was that of fear, yes. But quickly I realized God wanted us to have him, and that in Him, I need not be afraid. He was born at 4:17 pm, and scripture 2corinthians 4;17 reassured us.
"I am absolutely a pro-life man. Here I am with my beautiful adopted daughter Elena. My wife and I adopted Elena in 2007 to increase our family to six. I am so full of joy that God blessed us by choosing us to adopt Elena. My wife Jackie went home to Jesus last May after battling with breast cancer for over six years. Even amidst this loss, our family continually is blessed by our awesome God."
