June 20th, My FAVORITE tomato plants EVER are producing fruits life crazy this week. Shown here are the fruits of a Purple Cherokee heirloom plant. The MOST delicious and beautiful tomatoes to eat or cook... Low pulp, few seeds... and a glorious magenta/eggplant hue when ripe.
The mason bee house is back for 2016... relocated to the center of the farm within the beds holding tomatoes, peppers and herbs. Heirloom morning glories have been planted at its base... soon to grace this pollinators' homestead with periwinkle and royal aubergine blooms.
