Scrapbook of a School Counselor: The Worry Box. For individual or group counseling. Kids let their worries fall into the box, and the counselor reads one to talk about. The Worry Box ~ Students can jot down worries and put them in this box. The counselor draws out the slips and knows which students to see and about what. Could also be done in small group or as a guidance lesson anonymously. Worry can be specific (state mandated testing) or generic. Be sure to emphasize that once the Larry is shut in the box & is carried out of the room, it's gone.
