taro and palusami

Samoan food...sort of. I think the palusami was made with canned coconut cream. Alas. But the taro was great! Bought at the Hilo Farmer's Market. Oh, and btw: palusami is coconut cream wrapped in taro leaves and baked, often with onions or some sort of meat in there. (Mine was without meat.) Taro (kalo) is a root vegetable popular throughout the Pacific and Asia. Here it was boiled in coconut cream, yum!!
