Visually, I was interested in using a strong contrasting colour scheme, with which I experimented in early stages of shooting and, conceptually speaking, the idea of breaking traditional boundaries of still life interested me.
At first I wanted to develop the idea of a garment coming to life through the use of floral materials resembling life and growth. Shortly after completing half of my second board, I decided I wanted to change my idea slightly. I realised that the garments containing fake, natural and floral patterns can never compare to the beauty of real nature. This is where I developed the idea to use real flowers and plants on top of sewing materials and equipment, to show nature taking over.
