Firebox! 🔥 Now this was a pretty fun little project. Pleased to help put some reality to the always-amazing ideas of Jules @davconltd. It's a firewood box on wheels, where the main top section is for logs, the lower is for all your fire starting business. Recycled Rimu, steel framing, swivel castors, and removable catch tray for the wood scraps. Also happens to make a great cat nap spot!
Have been working through a pretty cool concept this year with some fantastic clients, developing a design that reflects their passions and interests. Will be a steel framed, wooden tread design that takes cues from ammonite shells and spirals into a pseudo-Fibonacci sequence. A lot of detail still to work through, so will be interesting to see a final design.
This is bench seat I designed a while ago, as much for the design challenge as the form it creates. Developed as a full parametric model with members that auto-update as the size changes. Compression beams through the middle are tightened to sandwich each individual CNC machined wooden segment and create a robust complete structure.
Very pleased to get amongst the design with @specialprojects earlier this year with the design of 6 display modules for @motatnz. Stackable any-which-way, they are a rather large 3x3x6m module. Custom hydraulic door stops, XLam floor panels, wet glazed glass, multiwall semi-opaque panels, all wrapped in a UC frame, fabricated to some rather tight tolerances!
