One inch. On the hip line I will measure bust divided by eh hip divide by four my hip is thirty six inches divided by four that's I'll connect I will extend my vertical contour lines. Now the next thing is to connect to the side seam connect the post circumference to the hip circumference and extend the line this could be a blouse and if we extend it it's going to be a gown a mini gown my arm hole length is seven inches I will divide it by two that's three and half and on that mark I would mark my across chest measuring my across chest is 13 inches 13 divided by 26 and 2 mark that and from there I will connect this point to this point to this point do that I'll grab my roller connect to the shoulder with a line and from there I will connect to arm hole line now this is my front pattern hand frame now this is my center front now to insert my darts I will mark my bust pan my bust pan is seven inches I will use seven inches three and half on the bust line I will mark three and half plus half of my darts intake my darts intake is one inch divided by one in divided by two darts half inch then three and half plus that half of my darts intake will be four inches four inches I will mark that on my post point my waist point on my waistline and on my I'll I'll mark one inch below my bust point at the bus pan and two inches above my hip line at the bust pan. Then connect with the line I'll connect this point, this point and this point with a straight line. Now this will be my darts fold I will share my darts intake between on both sides of this line half inch here half inch here and that gives me one in remember I added one in to my waist circumference for the darts now I'm using the one inch as the dart volume now connect my dart point remember I told you that a contour that has two dart point now I will connect this dart point to this place to this point this that point to this point this that point to this point this that point to this point now to do that just follow connect ensure you use a pencil when you are drafting your pattern so you can erase when you make mistakes I'm using a pen so you can see what I'm doing Now this is how we contour that looks. So there is a point at the at the top and at the end of the garment now what we need to do next is to add our neck width The neck wet I'll be using here is three inches. The neck height is also three inches connect with my to draw out the neckline so this is the front neckline this is basically how to draft a basic bodies blouse could be a blouse could be a could be a dress with a contour darts now this is how a contour dart looks like and this is your standard darts this is the standard darts and this here is a contour darts Thanks for watching.
