EYE SPY - East exhibition

Eye Spy is a glimpse into the world of our most precious taonga – our children. In January and February this year, ten children aged between 6 - 12 years old from East Auckland worked with artists Emily Mafile'o and Raymond Sagapolutele to discover the wonders and techniques of photography. They were one of four groups of young artists from across the North, South, East and West of Auckland culminating in a city-wide exhibition.

Mikaela, 9 years old, Ellerslie Hi, my name is Mikaela and I live in Ellerslie. I photograph interesting images of the temple, my house and living things. Today I would like to show you a few of my favourite images. I’d like you to know that I have tried really hard to reach my goal. I enjoyed the temple and recommend it to others. Use confidence and you will succeed!...
